How RF Skin Tightening Works
Radiofrequency technology uses safe, controlled energy to gently heat the deeper layers of your skin without harming the surface. This precise heating activates fibroblasts, the skin cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins that maintain your skin’s firmness, elasticity, and youthful appearance.
Immediately after treatment, the heat causes existing collagen fibers to contract, resulting in an instant tightening effect. What to Expect During Your RF Skin Tightening Treatment
At DermaEnvy Skincare, your comfort and safety are always our top priority. RF Skin Tightening treatments are designed to be gentle, effective, and completely non-invasive. During your session, you’ll feel a mild, warming sensation as the radiofrequency energy penetrates the deeper layers of your skin stimulating collagen production without damaging the surface. The treatment is typically painless and requires no anesthesia.
Each session lasts approximately 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Most clients complete a series of 10 sessions, spaced 7 to 10 days apart, to achieve optimal and long-lasting results.
Some clients may notice subtle tightening immediately after the procedure due to the contraction of existing collagen. However, the most noticeable improvements typically develop gradually over 2 to 3 months as new collagen and elastin fibers are formed.
There is no downtime following RF Skin Tightening. Mild redness or slight swelling may occur, but these effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few hours to a couple of days. You can resume normal activities right away and makeup may be applied immediately after treatment if desired.

SKIN TIGHTENING PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Please reveal any medical conditions that may be of significance to the laser procedure—such as pregnancy, cold sore and fever blister tendencies, any type of allergy, recent facial peels or surgery, or any type of medication such as Accutane, or use of Retin-A.
Do not use self-tanning lotions or tanning booths two weeks prior to your laser treatment. Do not sunbathe two weeks prior to your appointment. Any patient arriving with a tan or sunburn may be rescheduled due to the sensitivity of the procedure to altered skin colour and for the sake of your own safety.
Do not use skin care products, or any face cream supplement that contains Hydroquinone or Glyquin for one week prior to treatment.
Before a Skin Tightening procedure, facial hair should be shaved as close to treatment time as possible.
Please avoid caffeine the day of your treatment and drink 8-10 glasses of water daily to keep your skin hydrated.

SKIN TIGHTENING POST-TREATMENT CARE
You may have mild swelling for 1-3 days after your treatment. Please apply an icepack to the irritated area for 1-2 days in approximately 15 minute sessions 3-4 times per day.
Redness for 2-3 days is common. Makeup can be applied if necessary.
Keep the skin hydrated and use only lukewarm water with gentle cleansers and moisturizers for 3 days.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure or use of tanning bed for one week after a treatment.
Use a minimum of SPF 30 to protect your skin after your treatment.

This treatment isn’t suitable if you are:
Pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a pacemaker.
Experiencing skin issues like rashes, infections, or inflammation.
Managing serious health conditions (e.g., cancer, heart disease, epilepsy).
Taking certain medications or had recent cosmetic treatments (within 2 weeks).
Tanned or have Fitzpatrick Skin Type VI.

This skin treatment procedure is relatively comfortable and is often described as a warm sensation on the skin. The skin remains intact and may be transiently pink after the treatment. If desired, makeup may be applied immediately after treatment and normal activities may be resumed. In essence, there is no expected downtime. DermaEnvy clients often notice immediate changes in the appearance of their skin after a single treatment, however, it is important to bear in mind that best results are usually seen after only a series of treatments.

Radio-Frequency Skin Tightening at DermaEnvy is designed to treat mild to moderately loose skin on the lower face, around the eyes, the neck and certain body areas. It does not address skin pigmentation or blood vessels. All skin types are eligible to have treatment and no complicated pre or post-treatment precautions are required. This treatment may be used as a stand-alone procedure, or more often in combination with other cosmetic procedures to further enhance the results. This procedure is one of the most comfortable, convenient, and cost-effective procedures available to firm mildly loose skin of the face and neck.
