Dr Bains grew up in Malaysia, and completed her medical degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at International Medical University in 2006. She then moved to the UK, where she trained as a GP in London, attaining Membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners. She worked as a GP in London for several years prior to relocating to Halifax in 2019 with her husband and 2 young daughters.
She is a member in good standing of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia, and works full time as a Family Physician. She obtained various advanced medical aesthetic training certifications both in the UK and Canada, and is passionate about providing a personalized tailored approach in aesthetic injectables to achieve flawless, natural looking results.

Coming SoonAvoid blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 5–7 days, if approved by your doctor.
Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment.
Postpone if you’re unwell (cold, flu, infection).
Avoid dental work for 2 weeks before and after treatment.
Avoid facials, peels, or lasers for 1 week prior.
Stay hydrated and arrive makeup-free.
Disclose all medications and health conditions to your provider.
Don’t book treatments right before major events (allow 7–14 days for healing).

Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours, unless instructed by your provider.
Expect mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness—this is normal and usually resolves within a few days.
Apply cold compresses (gently) to reduce swelling or bruising if needed.
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat exposure (hot showers, saunas, steam rooms) for 24–48 hours.
Do not apply makeup for at least 4–6 hours post-treatment.
Avoid facials, lasers, or skin treatments for 7–14 days after your filler.
Sleep with your head elevated the first night to help reduce swelling.
Wait at least 2 weeks before assessing final results or considering touch-ups.
Contact your provider if you notice unusual pain, discoloration, or signs of infection.

Recent dental work, vaccinations, or facial surgery (within 2 weeks)

History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis
Previous complications from fillers (e.g., granulomas or vascular occlusion)
