Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that affects approximately 10 per cent of the population. While not uncommon, it can be a source of great distress to those who live with it. In addition to the primary symptom of facial flushing or redness, rosacea sufferers may experience enlarged, swollen pores, visible veins, sensitive skin, and blemishes which are often mistaken for acne.
The good news is that rosacea is highly treatable using IPL/BBL (Intense Pulsed Light / Broadband Light) technology. The IPL works by delivering targeted light energy to heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will then stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen. In addition, the photothermal energy will target and eliminate many of the fine blood vessels and capillaries that cause redness. This will help restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colours and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.

Post-Treatment Care Between PhotoFacial/Skin Rejuvenation Sessions for Rosacea
PhotoFacial/Skin Rejuvenation patients whether they received treatment for acne, rosacea, or sun/age spots can anticipate benefits gradually in the weeks following the treatment. Redness and swelling or minor discomfort may occur after a treatment but this will subside shortly. There is very little downtime with this procedure. Patients with darker or deeper complexions, or tanned skin, are at a higher risk for complications following a PhotoFacial/Skin Rejuvenation treatment. However, this procedure is considered one of the safest light-based facial treatments available. Here are some quick pointers to help you take care of the treatment area between sessions and achieve your best results...
